Dr. Wayne Pasanen has been in practice for 45 years. After attending Brown University, The University of Vermont College of Medicine and post-graduate training in Denver he served in the US Navy Medical Corps.
In 1974 he started his career in Emergency Medicine as the first full time emergency physician at the Lowell General Hospital where he was chief of the department for 28 years. He assumed additional responsibility
as Vice President of Medical Affairs in 1992. He has also had a parallel career in Addiction Medicine and serves as Medical Director for an addiction treatment program in eastern Massachusetts. Dr. Pasanen has served as president of
the Massachusetts chapters of both the American College of Emergency Physicians and American Society of Addiction Medicine. He has received many community honors including the Middlesex North Middlesex Medical
Society Clinician of the year. His a distinguished fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He taught for many years at several Massachusetts universities.
