Tibor Gyuris graduated at Jozsef Attila University (1982) in Szeged, Hungary as a biologist than received his Doctor of University degree (1986) at Szentgyorgyi Albert Medical University of Szeged. He carried out post-doctoral training in the UCSF, San Francisco 1989-1992. After San Francisco Tibor had 18 years of experience in genomics research at a large pharma company Amgen, Thousand Oaks. Leaving Amgen in 2010 Tibor had academic positions in Hungary, Brazil and Germany focusing on next generation DNA sequencing assay development to extend and speed up discovery in cancer genomics. Presently, Tibor works on developing genetic test for myelodysplastic syndromes at NeoGenomics in Carlsbad, California.
