I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist active in the field of nutrition for many years.
While completing rotations in clinical settings, I quickly realized knowledge is more
effective when it’s preventive—as the saying goes “…an ounce of prevention, is worth a
pound of cure.” I developed a preference for interacting with clients in support groups
and in the community where there is time to discuss nutrition-related topics, such as
how environments can support healthy decision-making and how to develop skills
improving quality of life. I shared many of these strategies when teaching
undergraduate dietetic students, and health educators with diverse cultural and
language backgrounds. Additionally, as a national trainer I also have experience
teaching culinary skills and cultural competence…some of the tools which help balance
my emotional and physical health. I now look forward to helping others achieve their
goals by using technology and online forums.
