Accomplished Orthopedic Surgeon / Sports Medicine Specialist with a strong leadership background in helping establish the Orthopedic Sports Medicine specialty in Brazil. Graduated in 1991 at Federal University of Sao Paulo in the Medical School program, also completing a PhD in Sports Science there (2006). Served as President of the Brazilian Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Society (2009-2010). Additional Sports Medicine fellowship visiting training in the United States in New York, Pittsburgh and Salt Lake City (1997). Established an International Fellowship training program in Sports Medicine (in Brazil) and served as Chairman since 2011. Served as a consultant, speaker and strategy board member for pharmaceutical companies and medical device industries, working on medical educational programs. Led one of the largest groups of orthopedic surgeons in Brazil as the Chief Medical Officer and organized the monthly scientific meetings. Founder Chief Medical Officer for Brazilian Tennis Confederation (1999), acting as the main physician for Davis Cup and Fed Cup Brazil Team until January 2010. Academic leadership experience in the role of co-chairman of the Fellowship Program in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at UNIFESP, one of the largest and most prestigious medical school in Brazil (from 1998 until 2006). Co-founder together with Adriana Greggio the Wise Home Building Co, a construction company in Massachusetts specialized in innovative new home building projects.
