Dr. Rikin Patel was born and raised in Toronto Canada. He moved to the United States in 1992 completing his secondary school education at The Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania. After graduating from Cornell University, Dr. Patel attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and went on to complete his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at NYU Medical Center in New York City.
He joined MercerBucks Orthopaedics (mbortho.com) in 2008 after completing subspecialty in Interventional Pain Management and Sports Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD and Orthopedic Spine Specialists in York PA. He is board certified in both PM&R with subspecialty board certification in both Sports Medicine and Pain Medicine. Specializing in non-operative orthopedic and spine care.
He focuses on percutaneous procedures of the spine epidurals, spinal nerve blocks, intradiscal therapies, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulators as well as joint injections and peripheral nerve blocks. Dr. Patel, also treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries, providing non-surgical and biological treatment options for pain. He incorporates ultrasound into his practice to help diagnose and treat common sprains, strains, ligament and tendon injuries. One of his areas of expertise is in regenerative orthopedic medicine with a special interest incorporating platelet-rich plasma (PRP), bone marrow or lipoaspirate mesenchymal stem cells to promote healing of orthopedic injuries. He has lectured on this topic at many peer conferences and has lead workshops in this area of expertise. He founded the MercersBucks Orthobiologics Institute and is now a member of the OrthoHealing Method (orthohealingmethod.com) where he serves as an advisor. He is an advocate that the future of medicine should be focused on prevention of disease and injury through improved bone health and biohacking. As a leader in the mobile car wash revolution, RideKleen gained national recognition expanding to 10 US markets in 5 years and was acquired by COX Automotive in 2018. He knows serves as the Chief Strategy Officer of RideKleen.
Dr. Patel has a passion for playing sports especially hockey, basketball, and golf. He remains an avid sports fan. He is loved and supported by his wife and lovely two daughters.
