Dr. Patrick Tyrance is a Harvard-trained orthopedic surgeon who takes a patient-facing approach to healthcare. He believes in empowering patients with personal data that helps them make more informed decisions regarding their health and wellness. His days as a competitive major college linebacker and professional athlete has helped shape his particular interest in the importance of physical activity in the prevention and treatment of disease. He is currently completing an MBA in healthcare from The George Washington University. After more than ten years as a surgeon he is transitioning to healthcare consulting in leadership development and exploring strategies to maximize physician and patient engagement in the healthcare system. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MPP in health policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BS in Biology from the University of Nebraska.
