I am a Registered Dietitian located in central Nebraska, and have been working in rural hospitals for over 5 years. I currently work as a clinical dietitian and serve as the director of the nutrition service department in a critical access hospital. In my position I work with a diverse population to help to educate, treat and prevent many chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. I have also been a lifestyle coach for the National Diabetes Prevention Program for the last 2 years, and I enjoy helping my clients discover and develop the tools they need to meet their wellness goals – and I love celebrating with them when they meet those goals! I believe that all foods can be part of healthful eating when managed for variety, moderation and proportionality. An eating pattern that is inclusive and diverse helps to reap long-term positive health benefits.
