Jason McDonald is a Chicago, IL native that now resides in the metro Washington, DC area. He studied Biology as an undergraduate at Arizona State University. A lifelong technology enthusiast, Jason was drawn to telemedicine and continued his studies in Health Informatics as a graduate student with University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, he is a medical student with Ross University School of Medicine. After completing his undergraduate degree, Jason went on to work in sales and operations with McKesson. During his time at McKesson Jason was involved in the launch of Menveo, a MCV4 meningitis vaccine, through a Novartis Vaccines partnership. In this environment, he helped assure client success while working with institutional clients and private practices nationwide. Jason also worked with CVS/Caremark, delivering client satisfaction in the complex marketplace of corporate and government insurance benefits. In addition to his experience with two of the top 10 Fortune 500 companies, he also has extensive sales and operational management experience with startups and small businesses in industries ranging from social media to laboratory technologies. Passionate about improving the community, Jason loves volunteering in his free time. He’s worked with organizations such as Phoenix Children’s Hospital, UMOM New Day Center and various community outreach programs with Ross University. Grateful for the opportunity to work in the healthcare industry fighting against illness, Jason recognizes that telemedicine is an integral tool to the future of medicine and is excited to be an investor with Fruitstreet.
