Deepak Thomas, MD, FACC, is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease with a focus on prevention and cardiac imaging.. He is in private practice in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He attended medical school at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, India; Internal Medicine Residency at Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY; Cardiology fellowship at University of Nebraska; and Cardiac Imaging fellowship at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He also served one year as Chief Medical Resident in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Thomas is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease with subspecialty certifications in Nuclear Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography and Cardiac Computed Tomography. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed research publications.
Dr. Thomas is passionate about preventing cardiovascular disease in his patients and often recommend interventions based on genetic profiles and advanced lipid, metabolic and nutritional testing. He is currently interested in exploring interventions that could decrease the readmission rates of patients with chronic cardiac conditions.
