Dr. Angeles is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. His focus is on end stage renal disease and the management of patients with chronic kidney disease. He graduated from Cornell University with a degree in biology and genetics in 1994. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine in 1998. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Brown University and residency at SUNY Stony Brook in 2001. Dr. Angeles continued his post graduate training at Stony Brook, completing his fellowship in nephrology and hypertension in 2003. He was awarded the Kevin J. and Gloria Keily Clinical Research Fellowship by the Kidney and Urology Foundation of America from 2002-2003. He is a fellow of the the American Society of Nephrology. He is a member of the Renal Physicians Association.
Dr. Angeles has been in private practice since 2003. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer of his nine provider practice. Dr. Angeles is currently the medical director of the DaVita Medford Kidney Center, a position he has held since 2009. In 2016, he chaired the quality management committee at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithown, NY. He is currently the president of the medical staff at St. Catherines.
Dr. Angeles received his MBA in 2017 to become a better advocate for his patients in the ever changing world of health care. With his 14 years of medical experience, coupled by his technological expertise, Dr. Angeles looks forward to spending more time at the management level to achieve better clinical outcomes and a healthier patient population. On a personal level, he is happily married with two sons. He is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and an avid tennis player.
