Dr. Pop completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, followed by a Hepatology/Liver Transplant Fellowship at UT Memphis. She served as Chief of Gastroenterology Division at James H Quillen VAMC for 5 years and held the position of Associate Professor at East Tennessee State University School of Medicine and the Hepatitis C Lead Clinician at Mountain Home VAMC/VISN9. Dr. Pop received the 2005 Department of Veterans Affairs Performance Award – Executive Career Field Appraisal. From 2005 through 2016 she practiced and was a shareholder and partner in Gastro One in Memphis TN. Dr. Pop has consulting experience with Frost Pinscriptive, Inc, contributing to product feedback and market dynamics expertise and guidance, as well as telemedicine experience including past collaboration with Arista MD Digital Health. Dr. Pop holds a MBA degree in the Business of Medicine from Kelley School of Business at Indiana-Purdue and a Certificate of Strategy and Innovation from MIT-Sloan School of Management. She holds two national offices with American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association.
