Adam was born in New York but has lived all over the US. A graduate of Emory University and the University of Health Sciences, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine.
He finds it hard to believe that for the last 20 years he has practiced Emergency Medicine in high acuity settings around Boston Massachusetts and Charleston South Carolina, mostly working after dark. A former EMS Flight Physician and Dive Medicine referral Physician he has always been active in his local EMS community. He is the Medical Director of a busy County Based EMS system and sits on numerous EMS advisory boards. He also has a special interest in the intersection of Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
Adam is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a Member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is active in educating Medical and PA/NP students and has numerous publications.
After many years of watching the end results of chronic poorly managed disease processes and what can charitably be called lifestyle indiscretions, he is very excited to be part of a Fruit Street’s “digital diabetes prevention” program. He is very enthusiastic about the expanding the role of digital technology in chronic disease prevention and management as well as lifestyle modifications.
